    Michael A. Urueta, CHST is a Regional EHS Manager who works with Schools, Businesses, Communities, Organizations, and Events to develop and strengthen their OSHA Environmental, Health and Safety need for The EHS PLANNING & CONSULTING CO. In 2016 he completed his first full IRONMAN race; the Vineman in Santa Rosa, CA. and The Spartan Beast World Championships in Lake Tahoe, Olympic Village in Squaw Valley, CA.
    Michael spent 16 years in the EHS field, 2018 he became a National Outreach OSHA 10- & 30-Hour Trainer and is, FEMA Active Shooter Awareness Certified. He is on the Dublin School District Safety committee and Site Safety team. In addition, he is teaching from the FEMA’s Homeland Securities PowerPoint training plan, NFPA 3000 Active Shooter Awareness / Hostile Event Response trainer, Emergency Management, Hazardous Waste / Hazwoper 40 & Manifest Writer, Workers Compensation Claims, and Accident Investigations are just a few other services that he offers.
    Michael is very passionate about helping others learn and understand how to be safe and survive Emergencies. After spending 9 years in the United States Marine Corps, he was stationed with a Force Reconnaissance Team as a Parachute Rigger. While living in Honolulu Hawaii, he learned battle wound lifesaving skills and how to protect and defend our country. He obtained his CPR, First-Aid and EMT skills training while volunteering as a Firefighter and First Responder for Station 20 in Shingletown, CA...
    As an EHS Engineering Tech IV, at Tesla Motors Inc., he joined the ERT Team and became a First Responder, performing First-Aid to countless emergencies throughout the Fremont factory. He ultimately was awarded a letter of appreciation and appointed as the ERT Captain for 997 ERT members and 10k+ employees.
    Michael earned his CHST, Construction Health Safety Technician credentials in October 2019 and has over 27 years in the Construction industry, 20 of these years he spent as Director of Operations and EHS Manager ensuring the safety of thousands of employees and customers.
    Michael is currently scheduled for two Active Shooter Awareness Presentations for ASSP Region IV in San Ramon, CA. and Baton Rouge, LA and pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety and is planning to continue classes at Las Positas College in Livermore, CA. this spring 2020.

    American Society of Safety Professionals, ASSP presents its annual Safety Symposium on March 4th, 2020. The topic is Construction Safety.
    I'll be speaking on FEMS's NFPA, (National Fire Protection Agency), NFPA 3000 Active Shooter Awareness / Hostile Event Response.
