    David Kondrup is an author, a professional speaker, a college professor (SUNY Farmingdale), trainer, and consultant specializing in the protection of things that are most important to people and business. He was a 3 Star Chief, third in command of a 1,260-person law enforcement agency serving 1.3 million residents of Nassau County where he also served as the Director of Human Resources and as the NIMS and Incident Command Liaison to the County Office of Emergency Management. He is a 20 year veteran of the New York City Police Department where he commanded personnel in a variety of mission critical assignments, he developed and executed technology, continuity and contingency plans.

    Board certified in Security Management, (Certified Protection Professional) by ANSI / ASIS International. David earned a Master of Science Degree from Long Island University, a Bachelor of Science degree from the New York Institute of Technology, and he is a graduate of the NYC Police Academy. David is also certified by the Disaster Recovery International Institute (DRii) to teach Business Continuity Course BCLE1500, certified by DHS to teach NIMS & Incident Command (ICS) courses, and he holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources certification (SPHR) from the Human Resources Certification Institute and from SHRM (SHRM-SCP).

He has trained thousands of individuals in emergency preparedness, business resiliency, leadership, and security topics.
